Bluehost Mailing list setup: To create a new mailing list: 1. login to cpanel (www.bluehost.com) 2. Click "Basic Mailing Lists" 3. Enter the list name (e.g session), password and click "Add Mailing List" 4. Click Modify to modify the list 5. Type the password and hit submit 6. Change "Prefix for subject line of list postings. " to something like [ARPC Session] 7. Set "Send welcome message to newly subscribed members?" to "No" 8. Click "Submit Your Changes" Disable Digest Mode: Note: Digest Mode means that members of a mailing list don't receive messages straight away but just once a day. 9. Click "Digest options" 10. Set "Can list members choose to receive list traffic bunched in digests?" to No 11. Click "Submit Your Changes" Disable Moderation: Note: Moderation means that emails sent to the mailing list must first be approved 12. Click "Privacy Options" 13. Click "Sender Filters" 14. Set "By default, should new list member postings be moderated?" to "No" 15. Set "Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined." to "Accept" 16. Click "Submit Your Changes" Add people to your list: 17. Click "Membership Management" 18. Click "Mass Subscription" 19. Enter the email addresses you want to add (one per line) 20. Click "Submit Your Changes" 21. Click Logout Other Options: =============== Add a footer to your mailing list: 1. login to cpanel (www.bluehost.com) 2. Click "Basic Mailing Lists" 3. Click Modify to modify the list you want to add the footer to. 4. Click "Non-digest options" 5. Edit the "Footer added to mail sent to regular list members" 6. Click "Submit Your Changes" 7. If you allow users to receive a digest as well then click "Digest options" and make the same change there. User Self-Subscription/Self-Unsubscription: Users can subscribe and unsubscribe themselves from the list webpage e.g http://box333.bluehost.com/mailman/listinfo/session_arpc.org.au Increase Attachment Size from default 40K: 1. Login to mailman administration 2. Click "General Options" 3.
